Together with fashion retailers Marc O’Polo and Moods of Norway, TAILORIT presents the importance of RFID in omni-channel retailing.

Preparing for consumers’ future expectations - the No. 1 topic in fashion and apparel retail, not just in Germany, but also in the neighboring Netherlands.

Therefore, on Jan 21, 2016, TAILORIT and Dutch security tag and RFID provider Nedap invited retailers to an all-day roundtable discussion in The Hague.

Approximately 20 attendees from various segments in fashion and apparel retail (e.g. Bodywear & Lingerie, Shoes & Activewear, Duty Free) listened to presentations explaining how RFID supports a successful omni-channel strategy. Together with RFID-using retailers, they discussed the technology’s additional benefits.

Focusing on the importance of RFID as the basis for a perfect omni-channel shopping experience, Tobias Wolter – Manager at TAILORIT – gave an overview of consumers‘ future expectations for fashion retail and provided recommendations as to how retailers can adapt their supply chain to master the challenge.

Aside from process-related and organizational requirements, technological prerequisites in combination with RFID were highlighted as the basis for a successful transformation of an omni-channel strategy into applied retail practice. The vivid presentations from Hans Petter Hübert, Retail Director at Moods of Norway, and Jana Hildenbrand, Director Sales Support at Marc O’Polo, confirmed the aforementioned relevance of RFID and shared their respective company’s experience with the technology and the benefits reaped from a successful implementation in an omni-channel environment.

After a lunch break, Jana Hildenbrand invited all attendees to a first-hand insight into RFID-supported processes “on the sales floor” at the Den Haag Marc O’Polo store.

Engaged discussions and positive feedback from all participants concluded an informative day and thus, a successful event.
